Nick's trip to Missoula

This last week I was able to present some research that I have been working on for the last year at The National Conference for Undergraduate Research in Missoula Montana at the University of Montana. It was loads of fun and very rewarding thanks to those of you who helped along the way.
This is what I look like while presenting research, I told that fool that my left side is my best side. The lecture went well as it was kinda well attended, not the turn out I would have expected for curing male pattern baldness.
This is the crew minus two Dr. Boyer and the Amazing Dr. Jason V. Slack Department chair of the Exercise Science Department at Utah Valley University. Pictured with me left to right is Jed Farley, Chris Wigington, Dr. Micheal Bohne and myself. We hiked the M because it was the number one thing to do in Missoula when visiting. Not a lot going on in good old Missoula. Finally the a M is smaller than the Y in Utah Valley, but so are all other painted mountainside collegiate symbols since the Y is the largest in the world (that was for Julie).

Hangining Out

For those of you that don't already know Julie encouraged me to take an outdoor climbing class this Semester at UVU. I really love the class and want to be able to share what I am learning with those close to me. So it is only natural that I would build a contraption to teach my family members and friends how to ballet in our garage.
Surprisingly Dallin really enjoys hanging and then being spun around at a high rate of speed.
The harness is Julie's which is why it is pink, and it was difficult at first to get Dallin into a pink harness.

The Farm with the Farmers

Near the Farmers home in Denver their is a historical operating farm that Dallin really enjoys visiting. Here Dallin and I are observing the baby sheep with their mothers.
Walking around the lake island, exciting.
Melissa isn't as into the farm as Dallin, but she loves to be with dallin and is an excellent aunt.
Can you think of a better place to take a family photo.

Homework is Fun

A couple of nights ago I was doing homework and Dallin asked if he could be given an assignment, so I had him practice his letters. That quickly became boring so he asked if he could have Fireman homework. This was the result. The sword was his fire hose, the backpack was his SCBA tank, and he was suppose to rescue Freddy the Frog from the top of the stairs.
